  1. I just bought a Portrait and I love the machine, but the software is terrible! I decided to make a bday card and very quickly realized, it is a 20 minute ordeal of ungrouping and deleting in order to print layers on different paper. Just awful. I honestly can not believe how short, this software falls. It was suggested to me that i try MTC. My question is this: when opening a silhouette studio purchased file, can I open it in layers? In other words, the program understands I just might want to use different cardstock for different layer cutting . The silhouette software is really some kind of sad joke. Thanks for any help!--Jen

    1. Hi Jen, if you are using Silhouette Studio version 3.x, you may want to uninstall and use the Legacy version instead. There are many bugs in version 3 that makes the simplest function hard to execute. You can download the Legacy version (v 2.9.45) HERE. You will have to scroll down to the end of the page to find it.
