Simple Shapes Simple Bookmarks

It has been 2 weeks since the kids went back to school and we are slowly settling into the new schedule. I have been busy trying to get the house in order and while cleaning up the kids' study bench, I found these bookmarks that I had made but never got around to posting.

When the 2012 Simple Shapes were released a few weeks ago, I had mentioned that each design in the collection comes with a bonus layer that is intended for use with a pen. To be more specific, that layer of "Cut Lines" is not meant for cutting. Instead, it is supposed to be drawn with a pen attached to the electronic cutter via a pen adapter. What I didn't mention was that if you do not use a pen with your cutter, you can print that layer out to see how it looks.

For these bookmarks, I used print-and-cut to print out the design and have the Cameo cut the shapes out.

For a different look, I left out the bonus layer for some of the bookmarks.

With or without the bonus layer, I think these bookmarks turned out really cute. What do you think? Have you used the 2012 Simple Shapes yet? What have you made?
