Make-Your-Own Happy Everything!

Considering that I was all sad and depressed last week, one would think I'm the last person to show you how to make anything happy. Yet that is exactly what I am going to do today. Oh, what a difference a weekend makes! LOL! Seriously, I have a great tutorial that will make you smile. Read on and see how you can put a happy face on everything. Literally!

First, go to dafont.com to download and install this free font. In my tutorial, I'm using Silhouette Studio but you can also use Photoshop and other programs to do the same.
---

Step 1. Kawaii Eyes is a font but instead of letters, it is made up of different faces. To bring a face onto the virtual mat, just type the letter that corresponds to it.

Step 2: Next, select and fill the face with a color (I used black) so that it is no longer just an outline.

Step 3: Remove the red outline by changing its color from red to Transparent.

Step 4. You may notice that the bounding box is unnecessarily large. There is a lot of empty space above the face. To remove that extra space, just UNGROUP the image.

Step 5: Now you are ready to put a happy face on anything! Just import the image and position the face over it. Re-size accordingly and voila! You've just made a Happy-Something! LOL!

Inside the Kawaii-eyes font, there are a few faces that come with cheeks, you can color the cheeks pink by following the instructions below:

So are you smiling yet? See, I told you that you would. Now go have some fun and put a happy face on Everything! :-)

Files used:
Kawaii Eyes Font (FREE!)

Little Teacup (teacups)
Sweet 16 (cupcake)
Luck of the Irish (shamrock)
Georgia Peach (peach)
Apple on a Stick (caramel apple)
Felt Owl Right (raspberry)
Holiday Lights (star)

  2. Thank you so much, Jin! I have been looking for a font or vector set that was faces or just eyes. I guess I was searching (for six months, no lie!) for the wrong words. I kept putting in Anime when all I had to put was Kawaii. dur

    Thanks again for the find.
